The Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) hereby advises all mariners, vessel operators, and stakeholders that the temporary navigation restrictions imposed under Marine Notice No. 13/2026 on vessels less than 15 metres in length due to severe marine weather conditions is hereby lifted
Mariners are advised to exercise caution
Notwithstanding the lifting of the restriction, all mariners, vessel operators and stakeholders are strongly advised to:
i.Monitor weather forecasts, marine weather bulletins, and warnings issued by the Fiji Meteorological Service.
ii.Exercise extreme caution when navigating coastal, exposed, and open waters.
iii.Assess prevailing sea and weather conditions before departure and throughout voyages.
iv.Ensure vessels are operated within their design limitations and in compliance with applicable maritime safety requirements.
v.Remain vigilant for abnormal sea conditions, coastal inundation and adverse weather.
MSAF will continue to monitor weather developments and may issue further notices should conditions warrant.
This notice revokes Marine Notice 13/2026.
