The opening of our newest office in the Pacific Harbour area marked another achievement in our progression calendar as we opened our 12th office in the country.
Located right next to the Pacific Harbour Police Post, our ecofriendly office – the first of its kind for us a 20 foot container office with modern open plan layout has been specifically modified to fit the services that we offer.
In opening the new office complex today, the Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport the Honourable Faiyaz Koya said the office is an investment in the maritime sector and Government’s commitment in validating the phrase “No Fijian left behind”.
The Honourable Minister Koya also reminded those in attendance of the need to adhere to safety regulations.
“Safety at sea is paramount for the Fijian Government. It is a key priority with strategies and programs implemented to raise awareness regulate and enforce laws in favour of safety.” He said.
The Hon. Minister also pleaded with Fijians to take boat safety seriously, ensure boats are surveyed and inspected regularly and that boats meet the highest safety standard.
The Pacific Harbour Office will be one of our outlets that issues clearance.
