This notice serves to remind ship owners, operators, and facilities that under the Marine (Anti-fouling Systems on Ships) Regulation 2014 which entered into force on 1st January, 2015, all ships are required to comply to the use of approved anti-fouling products. The list of compliant paint products are listed below which are to be used by all Fiji registered ships.
International based ships are also subject to scrutiny of the relevant certification of appropriate anti-fouling systems.
Any certification of anti-fouling paint products that are expired and or paint products and their respective suppliers which are not listed below, will require prior approval by MSAF before the product can be used by any ship owner, operator, or facility.
