The Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) advises all Fiji-registered Seafarers and Employers that it is
updating its records of all Fiji-registered seafarers, both locally and internationally employed. This information
will assist MSAF in maintaining accurate records of Fiji’s maritime workforce to better support industry planning
and regulatory services.
Information Required:
– Full Name
– Employer / Company Name
– Position / Rank
– Email Address and/or Contact Number
– Type of Vessel
If a full list is not readily available, companies may submit the total number of Fiji-registered seafarers
employed for initial reporting purposes.
Foreign Employment Notification (Fiji CoC/CoP Holders):
Fijian seafarers holding a Certificate of Competency (CoC) or Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) are encouraged
to notify the Authority in advance, before departure, to any foreign employment. Please include your employment
status/type, employer and vessel (if applicable), position, flag/country of employment, and expected dates.
This notification is for your well-being and job security, and it enables MSAF and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
to maintain contact, provide timely assistance, and make consular notifications where appropriate.

Please submit the required information urgently to pvotadroka@msaf.com.fj or deliver the details to the nearest
MSAF office.
All information provided will be treated with strict confidentiality and used solely for regulatory and industry
support purposes.
