Companies/Operators, Marinas and Yacht Clubs are advised of the Tropical Cyclone.
2. Tropical Cyclone Rae, Category 2 [982 HPA] was located 17.1 South 179.4 West or about 50km WestNorthwest of Vanua Balavu or about 60 km East-Southeast of Taveuni at 0900 hours Monday 24/02/25.The system is expected to slowly intensify while tracking South-Southwest over Lau Group.
3. Marine clearance for all ships to and from Savusavu, Taveuni, Labasa, Lomaiviti Group, Koro
Sea and Lau Group is to cease from 1200 hours, Monday 24/02/25 (local time) until further notice
except for emergency evacuation runs when required.

5. It is further reminded that the master has the final authority of the ship while in command and no
person shall prevent or restrict the master of the ship from taking or executing any decision which, in
the master’s professional judgement, is necessary for safety of life at sea and protection of the marine
environment.
